MAURIZIO BIANCHI IS THE PIONEERING FIGURE IN THE WHOLE HISTORY OF INDUSTRIAL MUSIC FROM ITALY. BEING ACTIVE IN THE EARLY 80S, HE RELEASED 12 ALBUMS BUT IN 1984 HE PREMATURELY LEFT THE SCENE AND ABORTED ALL CONTACTS. MANY WERE WONDERED HIS DISAPPEARANCE, BUT EVEN MORE UNEXPECTED WAS HIS COMEBACK IN 1998 WHEN THE NEW ALBUM "COLORI" WAS RELEASED. IN THE LINER NOTES, MB EXPLAINS THAT DURING THE 14 YEARS IT WAS A TIME FOR PURIFICATION OF SOUL AND LIBERATION OF MIND. THE MUSIC IS NOW TOTALLY DIFFERENT, THERE IS NO STRUGGLE AND PROTEST, NO NEGATIVE IMPULSES -

IT'S MORE LIKE MINIMALIST ELECTRONIC AMBIENT MUSIC CLOSE TO NEW AGE, THINK ARTISTS LIKE VIDNA OBMANA AND ROBERT RICH. RECENTLY, MB IS INCLINED TO THE MINIMALISM APPROACHING THE CHOICE OF INSTRUMENTS, MOSTLY PLAYING ELECTRIC PIANO. HE LIKES TO COLLABORATE WITH MANY OTHER MUSICIANS WORKING IN THE FIELD OF DARK AMBIENT AND ELECTROACOUSTIC MUSIC. HIS PIANO IMPROVISATIONS ARE PENETRATING THE NOISY CONTEXTS AND STILL RADIATES INEXPLICABLE CHILLING ENERGY.

ONE OF HIS PARTNER AND LONG-TIME COLLABORATOR IS SANDRO KAISER, GERMAN MUSICIAN WHICH IS KNOWN UNDER FREQUENCY IN CYCLES PER SECOND MONIKER, RELEASING PROFESSIONAL CDR ALBUMS ON HIS OWN LABEL. FICPS MUSIC IS NOISE AMBIENT, DIVIDED INTO (USUALLY) LONG TRACKS WHICH CAN BE PROPER THING TO ACCOMPANY THE OUT-OF-BODY EXPERIENCE. A HOWLING AGONISED OUTCRY OF MECHANISED ANIMALS IS GREETING THE EAR OF THE LISTENER. BIO-INDUSTRIAL LIFEFORMS STRAINING AND WRITHING IN DEEPEST SELF-CONTRADICTIONS. HEAVILY PROCESSED AND DISTORTED TAPE SOUNDS ARE TO BE HEARD - THEIR ORIGIN MUST BE DATED IN MBS PRIMORDIAL ARCHEO PHASE OF THE EARLY 1980S - THIS IS A PROCREATIVE RECYCLING OF "OLDER" MATERIAL THAT SHINES OUT NOW IN FRESH RESURRECTIONS.

IN OUR TECHNOLOGICAL NIGHTMARISH WORLD NOTHING HAS CHANGED SINCE ARCHEO TIMES - THE OLD REGIMES ARE IDENTICAL WITH THE ACTUAL REGIMES, BUT THEIR CRIMES HAVE BEEN DOUBLED SINCE THE PAST 20 YEARS - THE SO CALLED "REALITY" IS STILL GOVERNED BY SUPERSTRUCTURES THAT ARE GEARED TO SUPPRESS, DENY OR / AND KILL THE VAST MAJORITY OF LIFE IN A MINDLESS STRUGGLE TO ESTABLISH A GLOBAL HYPER-CAPITALIST DICTATORSHIP OF ECONOMIC TERRORISM. IN THAT RESPECT "ZERLEGEN" WORKS AS AN AMALGAMATION OF PAST, PRESENCE AND FUTURE. ANIMAL NOISES, MACHINE NOISES, HUMAN NOISES - ALL CONNECTED IN THEIR ANGER AGAINST THE INVISIBLE RULERS THAT HIDE THEMSELVES BEHIND SMOKE SCREENS AT THE CONTROL DESK. WELL, THE RULERS CANNOT FEEL SAFE ANYMORE, AS THEY KNOW THAT THEIR DAYS ARE "COUNTED" NOW... - THEIR DEMISE WILL BE A MOST SHATTERING EVENT. WILL THE WOULD SURVIVE THEIR OVERTURN?

WHAT IS THAT? WHERE ARE WE HERE? IT IS A SORT OF NARROW TUBE WITH DUBIOUS CONTENTS THAT USE TO "GLOW" IN THE DARK ? "RADIOGRAPHIC TESTAMENT..." SOUNDS LIKE THE WORN OUT "INWORLD" OF A SINISTER TUNNEL THAT CONNECTS SUBTERRANEAN AREAS OF AN UNKNOWN NATURE. SUDDENLY THE TUNNEL STARTS TO MOVE LIKE A MACHINERY WAKING UP FROM SLEEP, GAINING CONSCIOUSNESS AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF FAINTING. THE ACTIONS OF THE "TUNNEL-MACHINE" ARE NOT DIRECTED AT ALL - IT RATHER RESEMBLES THE HYSTERICAL MOVEMENTS OF A BURIED ZOMBIE CORPSE TRYING TO ESCAPE HIS GRAVE, BUT - ALAS - FAILS. AND FAILING - BY THE WAY - IS THE SUREST WAY TO "SURVIVE" IN A WORLD FULL OF STERILITY. ARE WE STILL ALIVE - OR ARE WE JUST MANIPULATED IN THINKING SO...?
